If you're already a metal guitarist with a fairly high skill level, but want to improve and play faster (while still playing 'clean'), then this is for you. It's pretty tough and it won't turn you into Yngwie Malmsteen overnight, but if you work at it, practice often and have the right attitude you will see great improvement. Stetina is a great teacher and I can recommend his other books also.

A good instrucitonal book, but a little hard to follow initially. This is usually the case with most instructional books though. Take your time through the exercises and you will slowly learn a lot more. Just don't forget that with speed, you also need control over the speed of playing. This book does a decent job of being a paper trainer.
