Normally I love Lonely Planet guide books, though this one is a terrible choice if you are planning to travel South America. It covers all coutries in South America, though so briefly that it isn't really worth while. Majority of the information in the book was either incorrect or extremley out of date.

if you havnt been to south america and you are planning to go, then you should buy this it tells you about what is new and what is good to explore there. and you will know what their religion is so you wont do rude stuff in thier contry. and the best is it tells you where there are cheap hotels
