This is the classic edition of the now famous Christmas tale. James builds a snowman in the garden and wakes up in the night to find that it has come to life. He shows the Snowman his house, and in return, the Snowman takes him on a magical journey.

About the Author

Raymond Briggs studied at Wimbledon School of Art, the Central Schoolof Art and the Slade. Many of his books are now classics and some: THESNOWMAN, FATHER CHRISTMAS, FATHER CHRISTMAS GOES ON HOLIDAY and WHENTHE WIND BLOWS, have been made into highly successful films. RaymondBriggs lives in Sussex.

In between, however, onlookers are swept up in the wonders of electricity, false teeth, skateboards, and the twosome's marvelous nighttime flight.
