If you want to have a good laugh at just how silly people can be when it comes to making the supposedly most straight forward of all communication, the sign, then this is it! It is hard to put down when you start to read it - but beware - do not read it where frequent bursts of hysterical laughter are not going to be tolerated! From all around the world there are so many examples of signmaking hilarity that it makes one wonder just how anyone can possibly find their way around while travelling or at least not hurt themselves from laughing!
This is the most awesome coffee table book that I have come across. I bought a copy when I was stuck in an airport and enjoyed a lot of giggles while I was waiting. Since then, everyone that has been to our place picks up the book and becomes absorbed. They each seem to have a different favourite. The signs in the book are actual photos from actual places (as you would expect from lonely planet), and are not the made up, photoshopped rubbish that you see on the internet. With humourous commentary, this book really is good fora laugh at the misfortunate signmaker's expense.
