Classic western romance - no thought provoking underlying themes here, just a good old fashioned "paper-back" type romance novel but with an inbuilt ongoing family saga to intrigue you. I read this one first then had to go in search of the other ones in the series although thios one still remains my favourite so far. This one is the second in the "trilogy" although there are actually four in this series - High Country Bride, Shotgun Bride, Secondhand Bride and the last lesser known one is McKettrick's Choice. Recommend you start with the first "High Country Bride" but you can still read them in any order as there is not too many cross-overs.
