This book has beautiful photographs of little boys clothes! It can be difficult to find boys exclusive for boys so I love that about this book. 25 patterns across the seasons plus so special little projects.
Some of the clothes in the book do look "hand-made" but that is what drew me to order this book. I do not claim to be an advanced sewer, but I do enjoy the creative outlet of sewing and the joy of creating someone unique and special for my little boys. Due in part to the photographs and step-by-step instructions, I was lured in and on the day this book arrived I made the Bobby's Bathers. The pattern was super easy but some of the instructions required re-reading for clarity. So a first time sewer may become frustrated at the lack of the diagrams (which I think would have assisted) or explicit instructions.
On the positive side, the bathers were whipped up quickly (even with some added thread colour embellishments) and fit wonderfully (size 2/3). I think I will be working my way through the book creating beautiful clothes for my boys (and maybe some for their friends).

I was a little disappointed with this book. I read a few reviews from various sites before I bought it and it was very highly reccommended but the clothes look very "hopme-made" and I was expecting more profesisonal looking clothes which can be found in Rob Merrett's "Cute Clothes for Kids". I would only make the clothes to wear around the house. However, it has great patterns to make a car playmat, lego bag and the "to-go artist" was my favourite which is a little booklet that holds a notepad and pencils for on the go.
