A Must Have for anyone contemplating writing a script, it is what it claims to be -- several books in one. David Trottier covers everything you need to know, from what is involved in being a writer, to actually writing a good script, formatting it correctly and then getting it out there to be (hopefully) purchased. He cites a lot of examples of recent(-ish) movies, unlike some scriptwriting books that tend to either use only those that have been written by the author or who only have one or two examples of movies that were successful... over 20 years ago. This is a Complete resource book (especially combined with Save the Cat! by Blake Snyder) and is a great way to start on a potential screenwriting career. If you only plan on getting one or two books on screenwriting, then this is one that I would highly recommend that you get.
