A good read. Comprehensive book wchich covers a number of different food types, has sections on mushrooms/fungi and seaweeds as well. I far prefer photos to line drawings and this book has plenty of photos. It also quotes info from different sources, plus the author's own experience and advice, which is excellent. Highly recommended.
I am delighted with this very interesting and informative reference book. In particular it is good to see actual photographs of various plants included, I am reluctant to rely purely on sketches.
Already I have taken the odd nibble of plants found around our 1 acre property in Parau, (Titirangi) and also during my walks through various tracks here in the Waitakere Ranges.
Warmly recommended.
I find the book very informative. Is what I am after. It has a lot of information of plants in the new zealand bush. It will be very helpful.
However would like more pictures of the plant in colour. Page numbering on the pictures is not there. Manybe more description of the plants so easier to identify.
