This is a new paperback edition of the story about everyone's favourite dog, Schnitzel von Krumm, from everyone's favourite author, Lynley Dodd. This time, Schnitzel von Krumm - with the very low tum - is up to mischief, chasing, digging, hiding and hustling. He should remember that dogs never climb trees - but that's not going to stop him scampering right to the very top of the tree!

Another great Lynley Dodd story. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend this as I would all of her books

I would bet at least one of my Dachsies wishes she could climb trees. One morning my husband got out of bed (late as usual; it must have been nearly 8 o'clock) to find she had a possum trapped up a tree. She must have been at the foot of that tree for hours that night. Schnitzel is my favourite Hairy Maclary character (for obvious reasons, though our four are long-haired minis, not short). For the benefit of anyone looking at this page who isn't a New Zealander, possums are one of the worst pests ever introduced into New Zealand. They not only endanger our native birds (by raiding their nests) but are also a danger to the forests. They are quite capable of deforesting huge areas of forest in a very short time. I haven't read this book yet but I look forward to doing so and I fully expect it to be as good as Schnitzel von Krumm's Basketwork so I will give it five stars.

dogs can't climb Schintzel! This is a new childrens book which has already become both a favourite and a classic, and Lynley Dodd keeps writing these wonderful rhyming stories as well. Dogs Never Climb Trees Schnitzel Von Crumb is one to own and place on the keeper shelves for your children and grandchildren. Wonderfully illustrated too.

hehe hes to low to climb anyway! Lynley Dodds books are fantastic, these were my favourite child hood story books, Hairy McClary from donaldson dairy, schnitzel von Krumm with the very low tum, and especially scar face claw! he was definately the best though! these are sweet and really exciting childrens books with lovely colourful illustrations, they really are delightful!
