About the Author

Joseph Edminister is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, where he also served as Assistant Dean and Acting Dean of Engineering. In 1984 he served on the staff of Congressman Dennis Eckart on an IEEE Congressional Fellowship. He served as a patent attorney and Director of Corporate Relations for the College of Engineering at Cornell until retiring in 1995. He is the author of several Schaum's Outlines. Hometown: Akron, OH
