This is a great, cathartic read for both the author and the reader. It could just as well be called "The rise and fall, the rise again, then fall, then rise/fall/rise of Anthony Keidis". It's a really honest memoir of a man's life, music and drug addiction that doesn't come across as preachy or self-righteous. Also it details his surprising upbringing and interaction with celebrities. A really gripping read that travels the entire gamut of emotions, revelations and anecdotes.

wow what a read. I may be bias here being a red hot chili pepper fan but i can't imagine anyone not enjoying the struggles and accomplishments, the highs and lows and the genuine honesty written on the pages of scar tissue by the red hot chili peppers lead singer, Anthony Kiedis. Be warned however, he writes graphically and leaves very little untold however personal and revealing it may be. a must read for any music fan, aspiring song writer (or poet) and anyone looking for an unforgettable read.

I'm a huge fan of the RHCP so I guess I'm biased, but Scar Tissue is more than a musicians autobio, it's a journey through the life a man who shows that life is not a fluke or test run. Reading Svar Tissue will open your eyes to everything life gives and takes away.

Im a fan of The Chillis, and even more so now. Its a great read. Kiedis makes you love him, hate him, want to hug him and slap him all at the same time. Great inside pics as well. Worth a read definately

This is the roller-coaster 'life so far' story of Anthony Kiedis, lead singer of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. It appealed to me because I am a fan and grew up listening to their music. It’s well written, entertaining and provoking as it deals with Anthony’s issues growing up with his hippy mother in Michigan and later in Hollywood with his well known father. If you like the Chilli Peppers, you’ll love the book.

An interesting read, an auto biography by lead singer of the the popular pop band "The Red Hot Chilli Pepprs" Anthony Kiedis. I am no longer much of a fan of the band, but still read it from time to time, a good read and a must for any read hot chilli peppers fans. Well written, 10/10
