Not one of Rough Guide's finest pieces. It has got the essentials but does not give you a great understanding of the Tasmanian way of life. The Hobart section, which like most cities is hard to keep up to date, has some old information. I found that traveling to smaller places it is best to ask the locals. Although the Rough Guide Tasmania will get you out of sticky accommodation situations
