Of the five precious metals financial books that I have read to date, this book is clearly the most helpful. I found that the book provided me with sufficient knowledge and understanding to feel comfortable with my decision to invest in metals.
Many books either gloss across aspects either too briefly or provide information as a detailed thesis. I was very happy with the amount of background information that Maloney's book provided. Without being a purely economic book, he outlined historical events with gold and silver, the demise of the dollar, trade interactions and balances, investment cycles, deflation/inflation/hyperinflaton, benefits of gold/silver and pitfalls of metals investment options among others.
Mainly because it was what i was interested in the most, but i would have preferred more detail in Part 4 'How to Invest in Precious Metals'. That said, this comment reflects more on Maloney's ability to educate me in the benefits of precious metals than in the provision of insufficient information. Without being a gold 'bug', Maloney clearly provides the reader with sufficient information to enable them to develop a metals portfolio while comparing it to other investment opportunities. Highly recommended reading.

This is an excellent book - well written and easy to understand for the layperson.
I found I was able to test my risk tolerance and also understand the importance of understanding the Gold and Silver markets within my portfolio.
Highly recommended.

I became interested in precious metals and economics about a year ago and have been reading and watching everything I could get my hands on. After a while you begin to see that there is a lot of common ground shared between most of the material out there and being new to the "Rich Dad" stuff I wasn't sure what to expect from Mike Maloney (though I did like the series of interviews he did with industry analysis professionals). I was very impressed with the amount of original research and information I found in this book - it covers all the bases from the historical trends and cycles, to the fundamentals of economics and everything in between.
I would also highly recommend to watch his video on Youtube (about 1 hour): Debt Collapse.

I was surposed to have received it by now (I bought it in August); however, I have not recieved it yet. I will waite for another 2 weeks before I call.
It takes long time for the book to get delivered and my children would not be able to waite that long; therefore, I do not think that I would buy books for kids even though I would love to buy some books I see online.
The price is good, but the service has room to improve.

Kia Ora,
To read this book you have to be prepared to change the way in which you think about the financial reality of today or as the author & Robert Kiyosaki say change the context in how you think.
This covers the history of precious metals & how over history despite all the efforts of man the metals continue to re value themsleves. Mike talks about how when you look at history, right now is one of those times when there will be another shift of wealth. Having listened to Mike in person this book just backs up his immense knowledge on the topic.
Most people will have trouble accepting Mike's conclusions because of the context in which most of us are brought up in in regards to the topic of money. But if you really want to make a difference in this world then this would be the start of your education & attainment of a financial IQ (not that given by the retirement commissioner).
