this book is just great. as a novice to New Zealand natives it has been a constant reference as i develop my garden. photos of the plants give an added bonus to the informative writings. every native i've wanted to know about is in there and the photos have helped me name many others that i have come across. definitely a great addition to any gardening library.

The best book on native New Zealand plants that you're ever likely to find. Incredibly informative and filled with beautiful photographs, this popular book is a must-have for any New Zealand gardener. I have had my current copy for about five years and have used it so often it's time I bought a new one! This is a great book for any NZ gardener or anyone with an interest in New Zealand flora.

I used this book to help me with my University studies for Landscape Design. Since then I have used it on an incredibly often basis! It is so beautifully illustrated, clearly showing our wonderful NZ native plants with practical useful information easily understood even by a novice to the garden. A very worthwhile investment for all native garden lovers!

This book is very good if you are into ornamentation or landscaping with native plants.
There are some wonderful photos highlighting the beauty of the plants.
The horticultural varieties are named and described and there are notes on how and where to grow them. As a reference book for landscaping its unsurpassed.
it has a full and helpful glossary. It gives you many ideas on what to plant where.
