Fred Beckey, a legend among mountain climbers, is also the author of a number of climbing guides, including the three-volume Cascade Alpine Guide.
Range of Glaciers provides the needed foundation for other, less
complete material on the Cascades and is long overdue. Whether read
cover to cover or used as a reference, Beckey's opus shuld become
the standard on the topic.
