Really awesome book! Very clear and easy to understand. And filled with loads of really great images that give you ideas as well as showing you the techniques in a visual form. This book is great if you are a professional looking for more ideas, or just a hobbiest wanting to take better photos. It may be a bit full on however if you are planning on taking pictures with a point and shoot camera, as a lot of the techniques using the shutter speed an apperature in this book wouldnt be possible with a point and shoot, you need a camera with manual controls. So you would get more out of this book if you do have a manual camera, but however, the actual posing techniques can be done no matter what camera you have.

I found it really useful, and I would say my portrait photography has improved since getting this book.

If you are going to do a wedding or a friends family shot, this book is great to get new ideas on how to position your subjects. A lot of situations are shown and things like lighting is also mentioned.

This book gave me a lot of ideas on an upcoming wedding I was doing.

This book has alot of great information, especially if you are unsure about how place your subjects.
It would also be helpful if you are intending to photograph a wedding, plenty of ideas

This book I found to be balanced and well written. I found it to possess more detail than other publications but on the same token it is written in such a manner that newcomers to the field will fully comprehend what is written.
