About the Author

Kathy Wirth earned a degree in fashion design and began her career as a designer of girls' hand-smocked dresses. Eventually, Kathy and a partner combined their creative design talents to form KD Artistry, Inc. The company designed, produced and marketed over 45 cross stitch titles and more than 100 hand-painted needlepoint designs. Kathy continued her career as a free-lance designer, specializing in cross stitch and plastic canvas. She has authored numerous consumer magazine projects and instruction books.
