This glossary contains well over a thousand entries like the one above, the aim of the authors being to remove the 'awkward obstacle' that these names can present. Originally prepared in 1931, "Plant Names Simplified" was revised and enlarged in 1946. Since then it has been frequently reprinted, in more recent years by Landsmans Bookshop. It remains a classic aid for the gardener and plant lover.
