Good to find a new author , especially in the non-gruesome style. We get to know our herione Betsy and a group of keen stitchers, whose characters unfold and become more interesting , once the deed is done ie the murder. The plots are clever and the countryside described well as we are drawn into the story. The second and third books follow on and are very hard to put down.
A Great introduction to this writer. Good murder mysteries that are not gruesome are hard to find, but these three are pretty good. Set in a craft store- it seems to be a trend with American writers. Good, believable caracters who do not get in the way of the story, but make you feel as if both they and the settings are written from personal experience. Three very good reads- and they are able to be re-read.
The first three needlecraft mystery books together. - Crewel World, Framed In Lace and A Stitch In Time.
Great to read, kept me riveted from the start to the finish. i have just finished A Stitch in time and cant wait to read the fourth mystery Unravelled Sleeve. If it is as good as the first three I have a treat in store and I had better make sure I have nothing to do for the night.
