About the Author

Rosalind ("Roz") Fellwock, a grandmother to Eric of the story, has an additional 14 grandchildren and 4 more step-grands. She's mother to 4 children and 4 more "steps" and has been everything from a short-term school teacher, a Chaplain's assistant, church organist for six decades, a choir director, and volunteer director for 500 fine recruits in St. John's Regional Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. A Missourian for seven decades, she became an Alabamian in 2007 and is enjoying the Southern climate and people! Leo Larkin is a retiree of NASA, having worked for the External Tank Chief Engineer in the Space Shuttle program. She is a Christian, an equestrian, and is a champion harmonica virtuoso. She performs professionally with her husband Bob, violinist, and son Shane Adkins, International champion guitarist. She has another son, Dan. She has had many stories published in Old Huntsville Magazine. Her name really is Leo as she is her daddy's only boy. Dale "Steve" Gierhart is the editor/owner for the Ardent Writer Press and a retired business director for the United States Army. Before that he was a research staff writer for the Oklahoma Legislature. He wrote a compendium entitled, Boards, Agencies, and Commissions of Oklahoma State Government. He is also the author of Shadow of the Conjurer. Steve, a former board member of the Alabama Writers Forum, has written for Old Huntsville Magazine and The Valley Planet and supports the literary arts and writing through publishing, teaching, and participation with his writing group, Coffee Tree Writers. He hails from Shawnee, Oklahoma; but most of his adult life has been spent in the beautiful hills of North Alabama where he lives with his wife, Bonny, a retired engineer who worked as a contractor on several NASA and Army programs and raises Tennessee Walking Horses.
