Lee Hammond is one of my favourite authors, as she is straight forward and easy to understand. In this book she demonsrates drawing the animal, painting and finishing. Fur, eyes are very well illustrated, hair, skins and feathers are all shown to create the best you can get into your paintings of animals, with shading and tonals to a real realistic look.

Easy to follow step by step book, for me as a fairly inexperienced painter this is a must have book, it has helped me tackle some difficult subjects. I already have all the colours she uses so it was easy to follow. It may be a bit simple for the very experienced painter , but I will be using for reference for a long time. Geraldine Davis.
