If you like painting birds and flowers then this is a wonderful decorative art book. The detail that you are shown is outstanding with nothing left out, eyes, feet, feathers and beaks. I love drawing and painting birds so this book is a must in my lirary. The flowers are also perfect and the shading just lovely. At the back of the book there is how to texture an old window frame, add broken glass and whole glass and a spiders web. Sherry Nelsons books are well worth having, ten out of ten.

A lovely book from Sherry C. Nelson. She gives simple and easy to follow step by step instructions to create wonderful bird paintings. She covers all the basics of painting, creating simple but effective backgrounds, and how to give birds a realistic appearance.
A very good book for those interesting in painting wildlife, especially birds.
