An excellent resource for those women with polycystic ovary syndrome. It contains menu plans, specific dietary strategies (including 10 primary practical ways to control symptoms through diet) and a comprehensive list of herbs, vitamins and minerals to control this syndrome. I have used this program to lose weight and increase my fertility, resulting in the birth of my daughter! Also very useful for those with Type 2 diabetes, as there is a lot of information on following a Low GI diet. For those who don't understand what PCOS is there is plain-English information to help understand what triggers the disorder, which justifies the dietary stategies the author suggests. Essential reading for those with hormonal problems.

If you are wanting to know how to lesson your symptoms of PCOS and what sort of foods you should be consuming, then I highly recommend this book.
It gives you a run down of how certain foods can and/or do affect PCO/S, what to look out for, how to improve your health, and provides you with great recipes and meal plans. I have been on the meal plan now for about 3 weeks and already I am noticing positive changes in my symptoms.
The PCOS Diet Book is divided into Three Parts.
1- Nutritional Healing for PCOS - Laying the foundation,
2- Tackling Your Problems,
3- Prepare for Success: Motivation, Support and a Healthy Attitude to Food.
Each section has at least 4 chapters, and is jammed packed with information every woman should know, even if you don't have PCOS.
If you are anything like me and have a double whammy by having Endometriosis as well, I really feel this book will help. At this stage, I can honestly say that I have not a bad word to say about this book and have no hesitations in recommending this book and any works from Collette Harris.
I hope that this little tid bit of information and my personal opinion about this book has helped you in any way. Best Wishes...
