This is a beautifully illustrated book which tells the story of three owlets who wake to find their mother gone. Its simple yet profound story addresses every child's separation anxiety fear. The ending is ultimately very reassuring, as mommy owl returns home, whereupon my daughter always breathes a sigh of relief.
This is now one of our favourite bed time stories. The pictures are lovely and the story catches my girls imagination as the baby owls wait for their Owl Mother to come back to the nest.
OUr 3 children have delighed in this story and played the parts of each of the owls. Lovely story of bonding of siblings and how to care for one another.
This book is about three baby owls who wake to find there mother missing. The three baby owls huddle together for comfort and wonder if there mother will return. The mother comes back and reassures them. This book has beautiful illustrations and is liked by many early childhood educators.
This a beautiful book in every way. The story is enchanting, with one little owl who misses mother more than the others. Illustrations evoke night time, with no scariness involved. A great story for little ones who may be unsure about whether or not mother will return, if she has to go out (and leave them with a babysittter.) Of course, Owl Babies don't need a babysitter!
Thoroughly recommended.
