I haven't read all of this (being a reference book, I've only been using the parts I need) but I am a beginner trying to learn how to develop applications for the iPhone and this book was very helpful as a starting point. It's very simple and concepts are well-explained and it goes through everything you need to know step by step, from really basic stuff to more complicated concepts. It is part of a series.
