I love the Mary Russell series, but I have to admit this one was a little disappointing. Although tightly-plotted and good filler for where Beekeeper's Apprentice leaves off, the ending felt rushed and the plot was too convoluted for my taste. Not one of the better novels in this series, but still worth a read for fans. 6/10.
