I loved this story, how Felix's story of the Nazis was able to be brought into the modern day, where fires devastated the local township. Zelda is the heart of the story. Her personality, and determination to fight through her troubles makes for a fantastic read. I could not put this book down, and it really touched my heart, as Zelda and Felix fought through the devastation.

This is the third and final book in Gleiztman's story about Felix. Felix has had to endure many obstacles in his life. Living through the world war and the ensuing years has left its mark on Felix and everything he does. The first two books, Once, followed by Then are powerful books indeed. It really is necessary to read all three of them in order to fully understand Felix why he is the way he is today. A great book for Intermediate age students who want something gritty to read that will leave them hungering for more.
