Kelley Armstrong is a genius.
Her characters capture your heart. The books are the kind you can't put down.
No Humans Involved is my all-time favourite. I am bias though, as Jaime Vegas (the Necromancer) and Jeremy Danvers (Alpha Werewolf) are my favourite characters ever written.
Fantastic story along with learning more about both Jaime and Jeremy, and their relationship.
Kelly Armstrong always tells a good tale and this one is great. I read it originally as a library copy and enjoyed it so much I bought a copy of my own. Her usual cast of characters - witches, werewolves, psychics and demons weave a tale that keeps your interest - and your sense of humour - alive for the whole book. A fun weekend read.

I’ve been waiting for Jaime’s and Jeremy’s story for ages, and now that it’s here I’m not sure how I feel. The story itself is fascinating, with necromancer Jaime appearing on a reality show where spiritualists try to raise the ghosts of Marilyn Monroe and other famous ‘other-siders’. What Jaime doesn’t expect is to be haunted. She and Jeremy, the alpha werewolf Jaime has been in love with for years and who finally seems to be reciprocating emotionally—well, as emotional as Jeremy gets—investigate the black magic underworld of Los Angeles, and finally, finally consummate their, uh, reciprocation in a most unusual way. Armstrong is good, as always, but this novel lacks the bite—sorry—of the Elena werewolf books in the Otherworld series, and the shifts from 1st person to third are disconcerting. Still, you get an insight into the world of psychics both real and fake, and the eventual reciprocation is also educational, so what more can you ask?
