This book would have to be one of the most personal accounts related to columbine. It is written amazingly well I have read it over and over from the mind of a young guy who was friends with Dylan and Eric. He was close to Dylan as a child, friends with Eric through Dylan as adolescents, then fell out with them for a few years and a few months before the shooting reconciled but had no idea what they were planning to do. He recounts the environment around them the years leading up to the shooting, the attitudes at school, the adults, their friends, and what it was like after and what many did to heal in a time where it was hard to find a way to do so. he also has warnings for other people and other kids. His writing is honest, warm and open minded. For a look into this horrible event you must read this book
Columbine is a word most people have heard of in the news and may think they know the bare facts about. Few could tell this story better than Brooks Brown, who was not only there but who was also friends with Eric and Dylan.
His is the complete story.
Includes many details that the media didnt release and the police wanted to keep quiet.
It is Brooks personal struggle to understand what happened to the guys he thought he knew, to clear his name of any involvement in the massacre and what good he has strived to accomplish in the wake of tragedy.
