This book fits neatly with The Hiding Place. If looking for a gift to buy for a loved one, I would recommend these two books together. An inspirational read.
This book is truly a gem. To those who have read The Hiding Place, you should also read this book. It is the years leading up to The Hiding Place and it is amazing to see how God's hand prepared them for everything they were to go through. Things that touched me included that Corrie's grandfather had such a heart for the Jewish people that he prayed for them everyday not knowing that after his death his own child and granchildren would be persecuted for protecting the Jews from the Nazis. God's vision is so much bigger and wider than ours could ever be and this book shows that he used this family through the generations to bring about His purpose.
