This is the best basic musical education book I have ever bought. The author has a knack for dolling out really useful nuggets of information at a comfortable pace whilst steering clear of waffle. The chapters are short and sweet but nearly every one will unveil something useful that you will want to start putting to use on your projects straight away! The most amazing thing is, the music theory I've learned from this book has carried over to my playing and helped me vastly improve my guitar jamming and improvisation ability, even though no specific guitar techniques are covered. If you enjoy making music, but feel you lack the theoretical tools to do anything serious, this is book is for you.
