Some interesting tips on how to stay on your bike longer. Although the bikes look a bit dated, some of the techniques don't really change and they are made perhaps a little easier to sort out with dual suspension. I haven't mastered the bunny hop over the log bit... the photos of that are awesome. The chapters are short and specific... worthwhile having round, you'll refer back to it often especially if you are a late comer to the mtb scene.

Covers everything from picking the right bike for you, as well as which bike shops to choose. From there it goes through all of the skills that you need to master to become a solid mountain biker. If you stick to mountain biking, you will quickly outgrow this book, but it does cover the basic skills you do need. It even has a chapter on racing advice. A very worthwile read, well written by people who at least remember what it was like to not be able to do the things that they describe. Fantastic humor is also evident in the writing style. An informative and enjoyable read.
