Haven't finished reading the book yet, but already the early chapters have been worthwhile.
My background - I've been riding for about 3 years, commute daily, attended superbike school (lvl 1 only), and attend maybe 5 track days a year; sportsbike riding is a large part of my life and I'm always looking for ways to improve.
The early chapters on attitude really hit home for me; without resorting to boring, subjective, or personal lectures, they talk objectively about the factors which affect how at-risk we are on the roads.
They also contained some uncomfortable but very true facts, such as the statistical truth that most riders do not learn from having accidents (I found myself reflecting and agreeing with this).
The book then constructively outlines ways in which we can improve our attitudes, which I'm still working on.
This has already been very helpful to me, and that's just from the first couple of chapters.
Flipping through it's easy to see the book is very thorough; I would be surprised if there was any important aspect of riding on the roads which was not covered.
As I mentioned, one of the best aspects of the book is that it is objective and fact-based.
Such a style facilitates the readers' reflection and positive, guided improvement in their riding, something I value very much. This is also the approach of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (which has a small chapter in Auckland), the organisation producing the book, which I will definitely be looking at joining.
Basically, if you ride on the road, and you want to ride more safely and enjoyably, are looking to improve your riding in general, I can not recommend this book highly enough; it should be distributed as widely as possible.
