Cossalter is a detailed guide to the dynamics of motorcycles and a useful tool in the design of motorcycles. This text gives detailed analysis linear motion, steady state cornering as well as transient states. Unlike most text on motorcycle dynamics where major assumptions such as small angle approximation and assumptions with respects to slip angle, Cossalter provides both analysis with and without these assumptions.
One of the most detailed text available on motorcycle dynamics a must for any engineer or enthusiastic motorcycle rider. I am currently designing a three wheeled Narrow Tilting Vehicle (NTV) at the University of Queensland and this book has been the corner stone for development of writing a program to modeled the dynamics of a NTV.
As a final note I was specifically looking for this book. on average it cost $120 but I got it for $86 on fishpond and even though it came from the states it was in 3 weeks.
