As a mother of two boys I have to say that I thought this was fantastic. Not only was it very funny and easy to read (no mean feat when you've got two noisy little boys distracting you) but it was full of useful and practical ideas. It's nice to finally see something that makes you feel that mums are actually quite good for boys.

Unbelievably tedious. This book is full of cringe worthy humor and takes way too long to reach the point. It would be easy to sum up all the worthwhile content in one chapter, yet we are forced to endure frustrating, drawn out anecdotes as Latta continuously goes off on a tangent or spends a whole chapter drilling you the same information. I felt like screaming "YES OKAY I GET IT!! Now lets please move on!". There is a fair amount of worthwhile information to be found in this book, although I struggled to feel that journey to reach it was worth it.

Being a mother to 2 young boys and coming from a family of 2 sisters I found this book quite enlightening. It has even made me understand my husband a bit more and where he's coming from! The book gives you practical advice & suggestions on how to deal with situations involving your boys so hopefully come their teenage years, they'll come and go without too much stress. Thanks Nigel.

Not so impressed with this one, a lot of referring to other books and struggling to be inspired to finish it!

Very easy to read, practical book. I particularly like the way the author does not pretend to be a super-parent but is open about his own mishaps and foibles. His comment about yelling "Stop yelling" especially resonated with me! Has some good hints and tips about boys of different ages. The supportive tone throughout was really encouraging for me, a mother of lively twin boys.
