Minimus is a fabulous way to introduce Latin to children. The book is aimed at 7 – 10 year olds but I would say that it suits 8 – 12 year olds. If you use it with this older age range then you are more likely to have success. The work is carefully graded and the children learn conversational Latin quite painlessly. The teachers’ manual is a great help for teachers who don’t have any Latin themselves.
