Bold Haruhi takes a shine to him and uses the force of her irrepressible personality to draft him into her club to find paranormal beings. Kyon soon discovers what she's looking for: Haruhi herself has the power to destroy and create entire universes at her whim. But if she knew about her ability, it could spell disaster for everyone.

I haven't actually read this manga but I have watched the anime. For the other person who reviewed this the tory is supposed to be strange because it is a comedy with sci-fi, fantasy elements. The story is about a guy called Kyon who has just entered high school and he meets Haruhi Suzumiya. Haruhi forces him to join a club along with Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina and Itsuki Koisumi. The club gets called the SOS Brigade and their objective is to find aliens, time travellers and espers. Thing is Kyon finds out that Yuki is an alien, Mikuru is from the future and Itsuki is an esper, plus Haruhi is God, she just dosn't know that. So the gang then have to keep Haruhi happy and make sure she dosn't find out that she is God or else it is the end of the world. If you are interested in this I suggest you read the light novels that the manga and anime are based on or watch the anime. Only get the manga if you are a die hard fan of Haruhi Suzumiya.
