Gorgeous book! I agree what a fabulous price for a fabulous book! Mine arrived this morning and I'm already working out what i want to make for dinner tonight! Beautifully presented and this is the same price as the paperback. I also have ordered volume 2 and can't wait for that either.
Its not full of glossy pictures but its full of lovely writing, recipes, little drawings, tips and is going to take pride of place amongst my cooking books!
Don't miss out!

A fantastic cookbook. Had to download a conversion chart for the measurements no hassle. It gives a history of the kind of food that was round. Would recommend to have it on the bookshelf. Yummy, rich food.

Hmmm - the book is in imperial (US?) measurements, which to me is archaic and unusable.

Still a classic! If you've seen the movie Julie and Julia, this, the original book, evokes images that previously might not have sprung to mind. When you read a recipe you can hear that extraordinary voice exhorting you to make it.

Great reading with some very practical tips and techniques. I will definitely be trying some of her recipes...might avoid the cream laden ones, though they all sound very delicious.

Grab this book, grab it now at this great fish pond price because it surely will go up in price when the movie hits the screen. This is a great cookbook, old now but still great. Have had a copy for years and use it often (I have so many cookbooks, too amny really but this is one I do use regularly). French food, yummo, put on some music and pretend you are in Paris for the night!
