Overall an enjoyable storyline, but Elizabeth Bard's recipes are the star of the show.

I really enjoyed the insight into the nuances of french culture. I made some of the recipes as I was reading and that added to the sense of "being there". A good dissection of the sense of alienation felt by non-speaking foreigner in Paris.
