I believe that this book is one of the best int he series. It does get to you with Phury's attitude towards not blaming himself for the situation he is in, but in the end he comes right and starts taking responsibility for himself. I particularly like seeing more about Revhenge as you don't know much about him through the other books an now you can Know why he isn't part of the brotherhood.
You will also find out more about John, Quinn and Blaylock. This book is very amusing in some places and very heartfelt at the end.
If J R Ward was to write another book for this series, I hope it is about Revhenge.

I am a HUGE fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and it felt like forever before this book was published. Arrived in the post yesterday and was immediately devoured (even though I was in the middle of another book, I just couldn't wait). For lovers of this series, you won't be disappointed, J.R. Ward hasn't lost a step with this 6th book, and once again her witty, emotive, give-it-to-you-straight style of writing shines through and brings her amazing characters to life for her readers. I'm not going to give away the plot in this review (if you want to know the outline, read the blurb from the publisher), just suffice it to say, it was another extraordinary literary experience and I am now (again) waiting impatiently for the next installment. Fans will adore it and for those of you who haven't read any books in this series - what are you waiting for!

Another amazing book in the black dagger brotherhood series. Couldnt put it down. I seem to fall in love with every book Ward does in this series and keeping thinking the last cant be topped but she manages to do so again with this one. If your already a fan of the series it wont disapoint. And if your new start from Dark Lover and work through :) enjoy

Ahhhh I love the Black dagger boys Zsadist is my fav so I was really looking forward to Phury...But I must admit it took me quite a bit to get into this one. I get the pining after Bella thing and the whole self sacrifice but damn it seemed to take forever for any thing to happen thank goodness for the side line of John or I really think I would have put this down halfway. In saying that once I got over the halfway mark it definately picked up the pace and the story became what I was looking for. I suppose i have to realise that Zsadist story has been told and there wont be another like his. Oh well read it if you love the series for plot lines.

I was totally blown away with this book!
This book is about the brother Phury, who is also Zsadist's twin.
If you read the previous book, Phury put up his hand to take Vishous' place as the Primale. This means he is now responsible for impregnating forty of the Chosen females in order to save the race/brotherhood from ultimate extinction...
Problem is Phury is a drug addict and a virgin! Not to mention his heart belongs to Cormia.
This book made me so anxious; I was dying to know what happened in the end!! Loved it!!

Not my favorite story in The Black Dagger brotherhood series, However it leads into the next book. Its also gives more information on John, Quin and Blay. Which I am dying to read their books, when their written. It also gives more information on Zadists story who is my favourite. A great read overall. Just can't get enough of the series and highly recommend buying the whole lot. As you want to read them several times.

Okay, I’m sorry, impale me now, but I was a little bored by this novel. Just a little. And then the good stuff happened [for you long-term readers I’ll just mention Tohr], and I came to admire Ward’s writing even more, with it’s depth of compassion and description, so by the end ‘Lover Enshrined’ had become one of my favourites. If you haven’t read the series in order, sorry, you really should. For those in the know, too much will spoil the plot, but it’s all about Phury, who has become the Primale, which means he is supposed to father the next generation of warriors. Trouble is, his drug addiction is off the scale, and if that’s not bad enough, his heart belongs to one of the Chosen, so how’s he supposed to bed them all? Sounds too feminie or angsty for you gritty-urban-fantasy readers? No way. Battles and blood and death and gore and bad guys who might be good and vice versa, and none f it just for the sake of gore. Ward’s world is brilliantly conceived and drawn, the characters individual, and the storyline—well, it’s fascinating where this is leading.

This book seemed to take forever before it was released. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is one of my favourite series of books and I am always going back and rereading the other books when I get a chance. I love that the book as well as having the main story, in this case Phury and Cormia, also has the story with all the members of the Brotherhood and some minor characters, that hopefully will have their own story in the future. I am already haning out for the next one in the series.
If you want to start following a new sering of books, then this is the one.
