After reading one of Charles Bukowski's novels - Ham On Rye - I decided to try his poetry. I was much impressed by his direct, even blunt, style and titillating subject matter. Bukowski writes about women, sex, drugs, love, violence and more mundane everyday things. Over all I would say this is a brilliant collection of poetry.

One of my favorite books of all time. I have had this book for about ten years now and i am never to far away from it. The poems and there is alot of them range in emotional intensity and comedy. A great collection for when you want to read and be inspired by some very clever turn of phrases and groundbreaking style, get this book its fantastic.
