This is absolutely one of my favourite Robert Munsch books. I read this to my own children and have bought many copies for other children, including my grandchildren and friends and acquaintances who have had babies. It is a delightful story.

This book is beautiful - read it to my pregnant belly + newborn baby. Makes a wonderful gift for new bubs too.

excellent book, but can't read it through without tearing up! the australia post bent half of the parcel so the book was a little crumpled unfortunately.

This book is awesome - there is only one person I know who has managed to read it without dissloving in tears. Great book to give new parents - all about the love between parent and child. I just gave this to my brother who has just had a little boy!! Cjildren enjoy it too, but my kids have always had trouble understanding why I am crying - it is just so beautiful! Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely tool by which to communicate the concept of unconditional and enduring love to a child. Children are reminded that in spite of the trials and tribulations inherent in the growing years, a parent's love remains constant and unwavering. A story and message that will stay with one for a lifetime. a great bedtime read after a hard day. Highly recommended.
