As a Primary school teacher I have used this book to teach even older children the importance of recpecting the environment. The Lorax contains a valuable lesson and encourages those who read it to restore their environment to it's natural state if resources are taken. A clever message disguised as a tongue-twisting tale.

This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book and I love sharing this with my daughter. The rhymes and tongue twisters and imaginative words make the book magical and the message of resepct for the environment make it educational and timeless. Highly recommended for children of all ages.

In amidst all the funny looking groovy trees and fuzzy creatures there is a message. In this case, it is about ecology, use of resources, and the environment.

Or, listen to what the Lorax says when you are chopping stuff down and damaging things to make a quick buck, for he is wise.

This is a really great story, with the usual tongue-twisting rhythmic tones that Dr Seuss uses in all his books. The story's main theme is that of the effects of environmental changes - and a little hero who is desperate to stop it happening. It's a great lesson for kids told in a wonderful way.

This is a beautiful, and excellently written story for children, and children at heart! The Lorax is a great character whose life is intertwined with that of the trees he is trying in vain to protect. This story is perfect for the budding environmentalist, or just a kid who is learning to read! Dr. Seuss' magic prevails even in today's world. This book comes highly recommended!

This was a favourite of my husband's when he was a child so I recently bought it for his birthday and he loved it! And our future children will enjoy it too. What a great way to introduce children to taking care of their environment.

Dr Seuss books are always great and this one is no exception. The Lorax has the usually interesting rhyming story with strange and funny characters. Having an environmental message is also a great way for kids to learn about conservation in a fun and non-depressing way (better than the 6pm news).

When it comes to reading i like books with a twist and dr seuss has deffently filled the hole backed up with the great pictures. I love the way he engages readers with unusual sentences that no one would think they could fit into writing but capturing what is going on in the world after reading these books makes you think more in depth about what was baing said. i love any dr seuss book because i become the little child reading it for the first time.

"I Am The Lorax, I Speak For The Trees, For The Trees Have No Tongue", haha, this book brings back memories. Probably Dr. Suess's best book, very creative, about the destroying of forests and a wise old creature called The Lorax. Children everywhere will enjoy this, hell I'm 36 years old and I still enjoy it.
