A beautifully presented book which more than lives up to the promise of its attractive cover, and which will certainly appeal to all dragon-lovers. The articles - listed under the four elements – are of the sort one might expect in a specialist magazine and provide angles on each of the elements quite different from the information found on books on Wicca, simply because they are more topical. In the Earth Magic section, to name but a few, there are articles on The Green Man, Living Harmoniously with Non-Pagans, and Sacred Geometry in the Home. In the Air Magic section, there are articles on Magickal Air Altars and Balloon Magic. In the Fire Magic section, articles on Clashing of the Titans: Mythology vs Hollwood and Protection while Working Magic and Down the Rabbit Hole: a Meditation on Alice’s Descent into the Underworld and in the Water Magic section, articles on dreamwork, Sekhmet and Spells for the Bathtub. And much, much more, including the Almanac Section – easily found in the middle of the book because of the dark-edged pages – with all the dates of festivals, holidays, lunar phases and Sabbats. What I also love is the chance this Almanac provides to discover a whole lot of great writers whom I had not previously been aware of and of various the various pagan publications they write for and/or details of their websites. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for this book each year from now on.
