Sandra Poole grew up in Alder Springs, Alabama, the setting for
this novel. Her daughter and co-author, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood,
was also born in Alabama. Livin'in High Cotton is a story that was
inspired by the life of Sandra's grandmother.
