Cherry Jones does a brilliant job of narrating this book! If you think you've heard her before she is the mum of Linus (Matt Damon) in the Ocean's movies.
This is one of my favourite Little House books! It sets the stage for the change of Laura from child to young woman, whilst also dealing sensitively with Mary's blindness and the sacrifices the family need to make for her to attend a college for the blind. It's the first time Laura is introduced to Almanzo, and his brother, and they both take a large role later in the book.
