This book is wonderful. I am a new teacher, teaching alongside other teachers with over 20years of experience and our workplace holds a copy of this book. All of us have found inspiration and new ideas from this work. There are great ideas to be tried straight away as well as ideas to challenge your thinking and long term practices. Every early childhood centre should own a copy.

This book is one that should become a must have for those in training. Although American based there are many ideas and reflective thoughts that can easily be adapted for the New Zealand EarlyChildhood setting

This is a beautiful development of ideas following on from Designs for Living and Learning. This book, like the last, can also be read cover to cover or dabbled in for moments of much needed inspiration!

Giving teachers access to a curriculum framework is immensely valuable - different children need different approaches to learn the same information. While every child can learn, not every child will learn in the same way. Flexibility and freshness in presenting material will always be valuable in the classroom and at home.
