Koran is one of the most important and influential books in the history of knowledge and religion. It is the primary source of law and ethics in Islam, and is read with utmost enthusiasm and devotion all around the Muslim world, day and night.
In this era, the importance of this book has overly inflated, more and more people are reading it to understand the contemporary affairs.
This is a very good edition; Palmer’s translation has been superb. RA Nicholson who is a familiar name in studies on Oriental literature has included a very well written introduction.
