Stephanie has created another masterpiece, filled with beautiful recipes, great pictures and gardening tips, wonderful ways to make zuchinnis delicious. LOVELY!
This book is a fantastic sister to "A Cook's Companion". The cover is beautiful (I won't spoil it for you by explaining it) and the advice is practical and works. I have owned mine for a year now and have established a great vegie and herb garden using the adivce. The recipes are a bonus. I highly recommend this book.
What a wholesome beautifully presented, hugely relevant cookbook/garden companion, what a shame I have committed to giving it to my sister for christmas! As soon as I opened the pages I was absorbed in the details and photos and recipes within them. I know what I'll be asking for Christmas next year...
This book is amazing, my partner was given it as a Birthday present and we use it all the time. We have our own garden and vegetable garden. It gives us easy to understand knowledge how to first prepare the garden for plant, and rotating crops, using marigolds for instance for companion planting and then what to do with the vegetable after we've grown it. Amazing pieces of paper and great as a gift for anyone who needs to learn about gardening or children who need to learn about planting crops and using vegetables to cook in the kitchen - great for family bonding and some serious fun (and learning). A must for anyone this christmas or anyone with a garden, if they don't use it, it's a great coffee table book.
This book is a delight. Beautifully illustrated with fabulous photographs of fresh produce and mouth-watering dishes. There is a step-by-step guide to getting started with your garden and special sections on gardening and cooking with kids. Over seventy fruits, vegetables and herbs are presented alphabetically (from Amaranth to Zucchini Flowers) with comprehensive information about planting, growing, harvesting, cooking and serving. Truly an essential companion for those who love growing, preparing and sharing food.
