About the Author

Ken Ring, a former maths teacher, is the author of 14 books on weather and climate in New Zealand, including the Weather Almanacs since 1999. Other books have been The Maori Fishing Calendar, Secrets of the Moon, Moon and Weatherlore, Weather Handbook and Predicting Weather by the Moon. Ken began his business of Predict Weather Ltd in 2002 to supply farmers with something more useful than a day-before forecasting system, so they could plan ahead with confidence.
